Known Issues with IE7 and Vista:
IE 7 Upgrade Issues
Some end users have reported system instability after upgrading to IE 7, and have asked the Propel Team to investigate whether these problems are related to the presence of Propel Accelerator. The instability may manifest itself in very different ways, and may result in a corrupted registry file. Propel has done extensive testing and investigation of this issue. Based on the investigations, they believe these problems are not caused by Propel Accelerator. This is an issue with the IE 7 upgrade mechanism and is not related to Propel Accelerator software.
Popup Blocking
Propel recommends that IE 7 and Windows Vista users turn on their browser's built-in popup blocking feature. Propel Accelerator's popup blocking feature continues to work with IE 7 in Windows XP, but not in Windows Vista. In Windows XP with IE 7, popup windows will briefly flash on screen before disappearing after being blocked by Propel Accelerator.
Refreshing Pictures and Pages
After repeated use, the "Refresh Picture with Full Quality" or "Refresh Page with Full Quality" commands in IE7 may stop working. To work around this, select "Disable Propel Accelerator" from the Propel system tray menu, then press ctrl-F5 to reload the page, and then select "Enable Propel Accelerator" from the Propel system tray menu. Propel is working on a fix and expects this to be addressed in version 6.01.
Diagnostics in Vista
With Windows Vista, an error is reported in the Propel Accelerator diagnostics. Step 3 of the Propel Accelerator diagnostics, which checks for packet loss on the accelerated connection, reports that the connection does not allow this test, and skips this test. All other steps in diagnostics should proceed as normal.
